||7 of 7 people found the following review helpful.| Well Thought Out and Presented|By Damon D. Levine|This book is certainly worth the money and is a great study of the guard position. The authors are thorough and systematic in their coverage of the guard.
Some chapters are based on the specific position that your opponent is assuming while in your guard and this is very helpful in planning your repetoire.

The Guard is the quintessential Brazilian Jiu Jitsu position. Other martial arts assume that once someone is on their back that the fight is over. But that assumption is unfounded. Fights donÕt end just because they hit the ground. For the jiu jitsu man the fight has only just begun. The Guard is a detailed analysis of core concepts, details, and techniques key to success for ground fighting.
